Dubrovnik City Walls

Dubrovnik City Walls, encircling the historic Old Town, offer an unforgettable walk through centuries of history with spectacular views at every step – a must-do while in Dubrovnik.

Stretching nearly 2 kilometers, the walls provide a unique perspective of the terracotta rooftops, the shimmering Adriatic Sea, and the charming streets below. Walking the full loop takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, with plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

The main entrances to the walls are located at Pile Gate, Ploče Gate, and near St. John’s Fortress. All are easy to reach on foot from anywhere in or near the Old Town.

Along the way, you’ll find towers, forts, and vantage points where you can pause, rest, or simply admire the scenery. Don’t forget to bring water, a hat, and sun protection – the midday sun can be intense!

Access to the City Walls is free for all participants with accreditation card.
